Clearing Cache
In order to speed up web browsing, web browsers are designed to download web pages and store them locally on your machine in an area called "cache". When you visit the same page for a second time, the browser speeds up display time by loading the page locally from cache instead of downloading everything again. This sometimes results in less than current versions of web pages being displayed. If you believe that you have a less than current version of a page, please follow the following steps to clear the cache in your browser:
  1. Internet Explorer 5.5 and above
  2. Firefox 1.5 or Netscape 8
  3. Netscape 7.x or Mozilla 1.4+
  4. Opera 8.54
  5. Safari
1. Internet Explorer 5 and 6
  • Run Microsoft Internet Explorer from Start menu or desktop shortcut
  • Select 'Tools'
  • Select Internet Options...
  • Select 'General' tab
  • Click 'Delete files'
  • Click 'OK' on the 'Delete Files' dialog box
  • Click 'OK'
2. Firefox 1.5 or Netscape 8
  • From 'Tools' select 'Options'
  • Click on 'Privacy' icon
  • Select 'Cache' tab
  • Click on 'Clear Cache Now' button
  • Click 'OK'
3. Netscape 7.x or Mozilla 1.4+
  • From 'Edit' select 'Preferences'
  • From the left hand side menu select 'Advanced'
  • Click 'Cache'
  • Click 'Clear Cache' button
  • Click OK
4. Opera 8.54
  • From 'Tools' select 'Preferences'
  • Select 'Advanced' tab
  • Click on 'History'
  • Click 'Empy now' button
  • Click 'OK'
5. Safari
  • From 'Safari' select 'Preferences'
  • Select Empty Cacahe...
  • Click 'Empty' button
  • Close window
  • Quit Safari
