Australian OpenAd Creative Wins Ogilvy Competition at MIPTV 08 in Cannes

OpenAd creative Rachelle Boyle was recently announced the winner in Ogilvy’s “Using the power of the brand for the power of good” competition at the MIPTV 08 event in Cannes, France. Her winning idea was entitled 'Fanta's Unlikely Heroes'.

After previously being selected as one of only six shortlisted finalists for the Ogilvy competition at the Content 360 competition, Rachelle was invited to pitch her idea directly to the judges during the MIPTV 08 event, in Cannes. Ogilvy’s competition was co-hosted by OpenAd.net and open to creative minds around the world. The competition called for an awareness-grabbing Cause Related Marketing campaigns with global appeal to benefit a larger cause to be brought to life through a branded content campaign for any one or more of Ogilvy’s brands, including Ford, BP, American Express, Dove and Fanta.

Australian creative Rachelle Boyle, currently a copywriter for Cummins Nitro in Brisbane, is very motivated when it comes to big ideas that can change the world. Rachelle now has a chance at a partnership deal for an Ogilvy Group UK client, valued at a minimum 10,000 Euros.

Rachelle had this to say: ˝Being announced the winner was so exciting because this isn't just an advertising campaign - its a cause that can save an enormous number of lives. I'm looking forward to collaborating with Ogilvy who are just as excited and passionate about my idea as I am!˝
