How do I register as a seller on OpenAd.net?
To register and set up a seller's account, go to the sellers' homepage, click Register and enter the required details. After you have registered and set up your account, you may log in using the username and password you selected during the registration process.
^ topHow much does it cost to register?
Registration and the submission of ideas are free of charge for sellers.
^ topI am being asked to state whether I am a company or freelance. Which should I choose?
You are asked during the registration process whether you are registering as a company or freelance.
Company choose this option if you are a company, advertising agency or educational institution. The creator of the account must be an authorised representative of the company. All payments are made to the company's bank account.
Freelance choose this option if you are a freelance creative or student. All freelance sellers must have full copyright ownership of all elements within any idea submitted to OpenAd.net. All payments are made to the freelance seller's personal bank account.
^ topDo I need to be working for an advertising agency to be eligible to show and sell ideas?
No, OpenAd.net allows you to register as a freelance seller of ideas.
^ topCan I start entering ideas as soon as I have registered?
Not immediately. Towards the end of the registration process you will be asked to indicate that you accept the terms of the Author Agreement, which is the basic document governing legal relations between sellers and OpenAd.net. After you have done that, you will then be required to read the Assignment, which further indicates your acceptance of the Author Agreement, print two copies, sign both of them and send them to:
OpenAd UK Ltd,
8 Hanover St,
London W1S 1YE, UK.
You may submit ideas before we have received your two signed copies of the Assignment; however, we will be unable to offer them for sale to Members until we have confirmed receipt.
^ topWhat does registering an account enable me to do?
After creating your seller's account, and after we have received two printed and signed copies of the Assignment, you can submit an unlimited number of ideas to the Gallery or in response to pitches.
^ topDoes registering as a seller mean that I can browse all the ideas on the site?
No. As a seller you are not permitted to view any of the ideas in the Gallery except your own. If you wish to view other creatives' ideas, you will need to create a separate buyer's account and purchase a membership package.
^ topHow do I view and edit my settings and preferences?
After you have logged into your seller's account, you can manage your settings through My OpenAd. This is your personal page on OpenAd.net and helps you to organise and view your work. You will be able to edit your account details and keep track of the status of all your ideas.
