Pitch rules
The basic terms of participation in a pitch are as follows:
1. Authors may reply to a pitch only if they have accepted the terms of the Author Agreement by sending to OpenAd.net two printed and signed copies of the Assignment.
2. Authors must own and control the entire copyright in the submitted Pitch Reply, including all copyright in the design and layout. Any submitted Creative Material must not have been previously published nor used in any advertising or marketing in any country of the world.
3. All Ideas posted on OpenAd.net are subject to pre-selection process known as the "Input Quality Control Procedure". Pitch Replies (as well as general entries) may be accepted or refused at OpenAd.net's sole discretion. Some Creative Material may be copy-corrected and, if any substantial correction is required, sent back to the Author with suggestions for revising and re-posting the Ideas.
4. Pre-selection also includes ensuring that any "third party" or otherwise uncleared or uncertain content is removed, i.e. photostock photos, or other "suspicious" content. Please note that Ideas that appear to have been produced to the extent where it is likely they were done within an agency environment will not be accepted.
5. Following pre-selection, all Ideas undergo the OpenAd selection process in which The OpenAd Academy, an independent body of advertising professionals, grade the Ideas for possible acceptance to the website. If an Idea is accepted, an acceptance mail is sent to the author. If an Idea is not accepted for any reason, an e-mail may also be sent informing the author.
6. OpenAd.net may choose to license any Pitch Reply for the period of 12 months or for perpetuity once the Pitch has been closed on the terms contained in the Author Agreement.
7. An award may be paid to the Entry selected as a Winning Entry, but there will be no commitment by OpenAd or Pitch Holders to purchase any Licence in any Entry or the Winning Entry.
